how it works
In-line Skating 101 is an "in-school" field trip that allows teachers to enhance their curriculum during regularly scheduled P. E. classes. Like other field trips, it is not mandatory for the students to participate. Students choosing not to learn to skate should have other P. E. activities to do during the skating unit. The program costs $8.00 per student (if you're worried about the cost keep reading... you'll be surprised!) which includes all the equipment during the skating period.
Up to two weeks prior to the beginning skate date, teachers and assistants recieve:
Then mobile, lockable, self-storing crates of skates and pads will arrive at the school on the scheduled date.
The In-line Skating 101 program is designed for ease of implementation. Recording aids, guideline checklists, a video, detailed lesson plans, labeled and color coded equipment, and provided storage makes the program easy to execute.
For those schools worried about the $8.00 student fee... the $8.00 fee is waived for any student unable to pay as long as parental permission is obtained. We at In-line Skating 101 do not want any child to not participate because they do not have the fee. Permission is good enough. See more details in the FAQ.
